Wild West Yellowstone Trip!

What we're doing...
We're saddlin' up and headin' west! Join us in August 2014 and participate in three days of hands-on Yellowstone National Park educational experiences that focus on wildlife, geological features, and the natural history of the park. We'll also watch a rodeo, enjoy two group dinners together, visit the Buffalo Bill Historical Center, explore a replica of a frontier town, and have the opportunity for other optional activities such as visiting Grand Teton National Park, cruising Jenny Lake, rafting, horseback riding, and more. Our focus will be on Yellowstone, old west history, Native American history, and having a rip-roarin' good time! Yeehaw! (Sorry, I couldn't resist. I'll behave now.)

The maximum for this trip is 52 travelers, and children under 8 can't travel with us due to limitations of the Yellowstone programs and hikes.

Hotel Information
Rooms will have two queen beds, and, in some cases, an additional roll-away or sofabed, accommodating 5, and (depending on age/size of children) possibly six. To keep the cost as low as possible, families of 5 (and possibly 6) will share one room.

Cost Information
The total cost (not per-person) is estimated* at:
Family of 2: $2,870
Family of 3: $3,445
Family of 4: $4,020
Family of 5: $4,600

If you have a family of six, email me and I'll explain your options. If you're a larger family (of 7 or more), combine the estimates above (family of 2 plus a family of 5) to get your total estimate.

*Note: 2014 pricing wasn't available for some things yet, so I've estimated based on 2013 prices. Consequently, the final cost of our trip could increase. I doubt it'll be substantial, but please keep the possibility in mind before you register and make your non-refundable deposit. I'll let you know about any increases as soon as possible.

These estimates include the educational programs in Yellowstone National Park (and boxed lunches during the programs), two group dinners, and four breakfasts. It also includes admissions to the rodeo, Buffalo Bill Historical Center, frontier town, transportation for most of our trip (local shuttle service is available the other days for free or very low cost), and a group transfer to the airport on our departure day.

Your cost does not include airfare (arrival in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and departure from Bozeman, Montana), any extra tours or activities you do on your own, any meals other than those listed above, or the airport transfer on our arrival day.

Payment Deadlines are as follows:
Within 7 days after I confirm your registration: $100 per-person non-refundable deposit
July 15, 2013: $400 per person (refundable only if I have a family to replace you)
April 15, 2014: Remaining balance (refundable only if I have a family to replace you)

Refunds
Payments (other than the $100 per-person non-refundable deposit) are refundable through April 15, 2014 only if I have a family on my waiting list to replace you. No replacements, roster changes, or refunds will be made after April 15, 2014.

Your signed registration confirmation (mailed with your deposit) serves as your acknowledgement that you understand and agree with my cancellation and refund policy.

Travel insurance that covers trip cancellation is highly recommended. Thoroughly research policies to make sure you can cancel for any reason, and that it covers emergencies and any unforeseen circumstances such as sickness, death of a loved one, and acts of God (natural disasters, etc.).

If the trip isn't confirmed, I'll refund all payments, including the $100 per-person deposit. Please don't purchase any non-refundable airfare until I tell you the trip is confirmed. You're responsible for your airfare and any cancellation penalties the airlines charge.

Want to go?
Your non-refundable deposit will be due within 7 days of the day I confirm your spots. Please don't register until you can pay this deposit. It's not refundable under any circumstances.

To register for this trip, please copy and paste the following form into an email to (director@carolinahomeschooler.com) and supply the requested information (delete any extra student portions if they're not needed, or add more sections if you have more students). It's important to type the correct age of each child on the date given so I can take advantage of any age-related discounts. Children under 8 can't attend this trip. (Don't attach your registration as a separate file - paste it into a regular email.)

I accept checks and money orders. I can't accept PayPal or credit cards (credit card checks are fine).

Due to the nature of this trip, children under 8 cannot travel with us.

Homeschoolers from other states and countries are welcome to join us, and grandparents are always welcome.

Refunds are not guaranteed. Please read my payment and refund policy carefully before you register and mail your payments.

If you have any doubts about the legitimacy of Carolina Homeschooler, please join my community and ask for references before registering. Don't send money to anyone on the internet if you don't trust them.
