Atalaya Castle Sleepover
November 8-9, 2014
Registration Deadline: October 15

What we're doing...
Join us at Huntington Beach State Park for a private sleepover in Atalaya Castle! We'll get a special tour of the historic castle, enjoy campfire cookouts (dinner and breakfast) and s'mores, listen to ghost stories, go on an evening beach exploration, take a morning wildlife walk, and more!

Families can choose to camp in the courtyard (with tents), or inside the Castle (no tents). I'll forward a list of recommended gear to everyone before we leave. A limited amount of camping gear (tents, air mattresses, lanterns) is available on loan, so note on the registration form if you don't have your own gear.

Plan to meet at Huntington Beach State Park at 4:30 pm on Saturday, November 8 to set up our camps. Our sleepover will end at 10:00 am on Sunday morning.

Carolina Homeschooler members will have priority when registering for this event. I'll keep a waiting list and will add non-members if space is available. See our membership area for more information about becoming a member.

Cost and what's included...
The cost is $50 per person for members ages 16 and up, and $30 per person ages 7-15. Ages 6 and under are free. This covers all activities listed above, a cookout dinner on Saturday night, and a cookout breakfast on Sunday morning.

Non-members will be added on a space-available basis for an additional $15 per person.

Cancellation policy and refunds...
Payment is refundable only if I have a family on my waiting list to replace you, and a $25 per family cancellation fee will be deducted from all refunds. No replacements, roster changes, or refunds will be made after October 15.

Your signed waiver and payment acknowledges that you understand and agree with my cancellation and refund policy.

This event may be cancelled if we don't have enough participants to meet the minimum required. If it's cancelled, you'll receive a full refund.

Want to go?
Full payment is due within 7 days of the date I confirm your registration. (I'll send you a confirmation email with payment instructions.)

After you complete the registration form, you'll receive an automated notification that it posted correctly. This email does not confirm your space on this trip - it just confirms that your registration went through correctly. Please email me if you have any questions or don't receive your automated email within 30 minutes of registering.

(I use the same registration form for many of my trips and events. Please make sure you choose the correct event on the form and complete all required fields.)

Important Notes
Carolina Homeschooler members have priority for this event. Non-members will be wait-listed and will be added if space is available.

Your payment is due within 7 days of my registration confirmation email. Please don't register until you can make full payment.

I accept checks, bank checks, and BillPay through your bank. I can't accept PayPal or credit cards (credit card checks are fine).

We must set up our camp spots before activities can begin, so please plan to arrive by 4:30 pm at the latest so we can start planned activities on time.

Water will be available throughout the event, and coffee and hot chocolate will be provided for breakfast. You can bring your own (non-alcoholic) drinks with you.

Each person must bring a sleeping bag, pillow, and all other necessary personal items. (I'll provide a list of recommended gear.)

Homeschoolers in other states (and Canada, and beyond) are welcome to join us.

As with all of my trips and events, you (or another adult) must attend this program with your children. No drop-offs.

Refunds are not guaranteed. Please read my payment and refund policy carefully before you register and mail payment.
