Alien Worlds & Androids!
July 30, 2014
Registration Deadline: Registration is closed. Please consider one of our other events.

What we're doing...
Join us on Wednesday, July 30 for the Alien Worlds & Androids exhibit at Discovery Place in Charlotte, NC and explore cutting-edge science, intelligent technology, and come face-to-face with the fantastic worlds depicted in our favorite science fiction films and books.

We'll learn about technology that allows scientists to collect data on creatures that thrive under some of the harshest conditions on Earth. We'll also get up-close and personal with robots made famous in film including C-3PO from Star Wars, T-800 from The Terminator, and the monster from Alien and Iron Man.

The registration deadline is June 30.

You must arrive by 10:00 am to get your wristbands. The exhibit (and the rest of the museum) is self-paced, so explore at your leisure and leave whenever you're ready.

(NOTE:
No drop-offs. Parents, or another adult, must attend this event with their children.)

Cost and what's included...
The cost for each participant is $5 per person, children under 2 are free. This includes admission to the museum and exhibit.

Parking is an additional $8 per vehicle if you park in the museum's parking deck (payable when you exit the garage).

Lunch is not provided, so plan to eat at the museum's cafe (organic foods), bring your own food and drinks (I've reserved space in their lunch room), or there are plenty of restaurants within a block of the museum.

Cancellation policy and refunds...
To keep the cost of this field trip low, there will be no refunds for cancellations, no-shows, or late arrivals. Your signed registration form and payment acknowledges that you understand and agree with my cancellation and refund policy.

Important Notes
This trip is confirmed and registration is closed.

Full payment is due within 7 days of my registration confirmation email.

Please make sure you select the correct event on the registration form. (I use the same form for multiple field trips.)

You (or another adult) must attend this program with your children. No drop-offs.

Plan to arrive by 10:00 am, and allow plenty of time for traffic. I will distribute wristbands to families at that time and won't be able to wait for stragglers.

Parking is an additional $8 per vehicle, payable at Discovery's parking garage.

Lunch isn't provided. Plan to eat at the museum's organic cafe, at a local restaurant, or bring a bag lunch and drinks.

Non-members and homeschoolers from other states are welcome to join us.

No refunds for cancellations, no shows, or late arrivals.
